Sunblock
Hey everyone,
My clients have all been coming in complaining about breakouts. Unfortunately this time of year it isn't uncommon, why; because hopefully everyone is using sunblock not sunscreen sunblock. There is a difference. As I tell my clients, if you have your front door open but yet the screen door is closed, that's a sunscreen its a filter but not enough, when the front door is closed and no light can come in now that is a sunblock, nothing coming through nothing will penetrate the skin. All free radicals will not penetrate and all sun will be reflected from the skin. Now unfortunately most sunblocks contain a product called dimethecone, and that will tend to break you out. The only product I know that doesn't have dimethecone in the ingredients is Skin Medica Sun Shade 50+. Just had a client come back from Costa Rica, was there for a week, and she said that sunblock really works, nothing penetrated my skin. The best part of the story is, she had no breakouts. Remember the products you see on TV that advertise all the time, are not the products you want to purchase. Why, they put all their money into advertising and not their ingredients. SPF
SPF-Sun Protection Factor. Folks this time of year you cannot go outside with SPF it is a must. In fact layer it with Vit C serum first, moisturize with SPF and then use a good Sunblock. Remember Sunblock not sunscreen, there is a difference. Sunscreen is a filter but a block means nothing will penetrate that skin. You won't regret when you are my age 54 that you used a good sunblock, as your skin will be preserved and show a lot less wrinkles. Now sunblocks usually cause skin to break out, my biggest complaint from my clients. So I went on a search and seek mission and found that dimethecone is an ingredient that will clog your pores and cause breakouts. So the only product that I found that doesn't have dimethecone is Skin Medica Sun Shield 50+. My clients use this products and love it, no breakouts no sun penetration or free radicals of any kind will get through to the skin. You will pay alot more than your over the counter products but in the long run it will be worth it, promise.

Fish oil tablets
Was in whole foods the other day and these was a lady selling liquid fish oil in different flavors. It was really good. You'll have to try it out.
Anyway, she told me that you want to make sure the fish oil tablets or liquid that you are injesting everyday has to come from the smaller fish. Such as sardines, the reason for this they have less amount of mercury in them. Makes sense once I started thinking about it, so I went home and looked at my tabs that I am currently taking. On the front label it read, purified to remove mercury. Now for some reason that makes me feel safer, however, in the future I will be sure to read the label and make sure that my tabs are coming from the smaller fish.
